Cabinet failures don't shock us any more

The informed speculation in your editorial (Irish Independent, February 26) of an imminent appointment of a junior minister for public service reform speaks volumes.
Recognising the need for a minister dedicated to this task but relegating the importance to a junior portfolio says it all about this sorry Government.
We are fully immune to shock and disappointment at the performance of this Cabinet in the way it consistently fails to live up to responsibility and lead from the front.
