Bring langer back to our airwaves
The radio advertisement for the phone enquiry number 11890, finishes with the sentence: "You'd be a langer not to."
When the ad first aired, it was carried in full, but now there is a bleep where 'langer' used to be. Why?
'Langer' is not offensive and is a Cork jovial expression. The censor, who decided we needed to be saved from this word, would be called a langer here in Cork in the same way a Kerryman would be if he said we can't play football. I'm starting a campaign to bring the langer back to our airwaves.
