Branch staff are blameless

Sir -- It is with disappointment that I write in relation to "On the Tear with Rip..." (Sunday Independent, Feb 7, 2010).
Declan Lynch comments "On a personal note, while I would generally offer my support to anyone behaving in a threatening and abusive fashion in a bank, I am saddened ... .."
I am a bank employee and have been for over 27 years. I have worked in a branch for most of that time. While working in the retail network the staff's main priority was always about serving their customers as best they could.
