Bills of future at children's door
Sir -- I take great issue with your weak appeasement expressed in last Sunday's paper.
The bills of the future are being laid at our children's door, not the Government's. This Government will have slithered off to the history bin of failure when the real bill arrives.
Your abstract blather of "the stretched fabric of society", the "downward spiral" and "potential devastating consequences" provide no real facts of the future risks facing the nation. The next government will be bound by the conditions agreed to by a cabal who know they will not have to deal with leading the country out of this disgrace.
