Betting vice has gone to the dogs

Matthew Byrne claims that abolishing greyhound racing would result in job losses. Well, disease, crime, road accidents and terrorism create lots of jobs too; does he think we shouldn't try to abolish them?

It does no good to anyone or anything; it is bad for humans as well as dogs. Greyhound racing only exists for the vice of gambling, which leaves the wretched addict and his family impoverished and unhappy.
