Be afraid, Fine Gael and Labour

There could well be a "devil you know" element to the hopes of the party-political opposition. They are terrified that the electorate might have second thoughts before the next election.
Fine Gael and Labour would be extremely foolish to write off the current rulers returning to power next time out.
They must worry about not being able to improve things should they get into government. Their inexperience and obvious lack of coordination is wide open to exploitation by the wily old foxes within Fianna Fail.
