Bank on an uphill struggle with AIB

Today I spent two hours looking out at the snow and planning my trip to the local AIB. As I live half way up a hill, I knew that going down might be relatively easy, but coming back up might not -- an assumption that was to prove correct.

Having driven on slippery roads all the way to Bray and picked my way carefully along the inner edge of the footpath so as not to become an RTE news YouTube sensation, I finally arrived at the bank around 3pm. Closed.

The notice on the door read that "due to health and safety reasons" they had closed at 2pm.
