Bailout costs are not ‘manageable’

I SEE that Central Bank governor Patrick Honohan has announced that the €25bn Anglo Irish Bank bailout – while "a terrible shock to the system" – is "costly but manageable".
I presume, therefore, that Anglo now has enough to survive and pay its bills – unlike the 1,000 families a month who are having their electricity disconnected.
At a time when so many continue to sacrifice so much for so few, it would be helpful if those who do not live with the daily fear of losing their job and their home; of having their electricity disconnected; of losing the ability to feed and clothe their family could refrain from arrogant statements such as “costly but manageable”.
