Avoid the cold hand of death on our roads

Sir -- I'm glad to see that increasing numbers of people are beginning to realise that boy racers have nothing to brag about. They are about as "cool" as a morning lecture from the manageress of a Magdalene laundry.
Their pastime is the most lethal form of anti-social behaviour, as the recent video posted on YouTube demonstrated so clearly and shockingly. They are a menace no community should have to endure.
While recognising the unbearable grief and tragedy engendered by the deaths and horrific injuries of young drivers engaged in high-speed antics on our roads, we need to adopt a zero-tolerance approach to tackling the problem.
