ATM charity move must benefit all

I write with reference to your report 'Charities struggling to attract donations want to be allowed to fundraise through ATMs'. If Dermot Kirwan of Friends of the Elderly hopes that his organisation will benefit, I suggest he manage his expectations as this method could serve to benefit only a small number of well known brand charities.
As co-ordinator of a small charity, I suggest such a scheme could only be supported if it would lead to increased resources for a wide range of organisations working for a better society.
A 'Better Society Fund' with scaled funding for programmes and core costs accessible by all organisations with a charity number might make a genuine difference that more people would support.
