Anthem. . . Reshuffle. . . Leak. . . Cash. . . Secrecy

I was amused by Kevin Myers' article about the national anthem (Irish Independent, February 25).

He suggests the tune 'Saint Patrick's Day' as an alternative to 'Amhran na bhFiann' and appears to think it would satisfy the northern unionists. Perhaps he is unaware of the words as sung by Dublin children years ago. They went, "Saint Patrick's Day is a very fine day and we'll kick all the Protestants out of our way."
