Airline customers to foot €32.5m bill

AER Lingus will pay €32.5m to meet PAYE and PRSI liabilities due on their "redundant and re-hired" staff as it’s "not appropriate to recover it".
But Aer Lingus will not pay it. The long-suffering customers will pay it. I would like to know if the Revenue Commissioners will see this payment as “benefit in kind” as they would for anyone else.
