A monument to national greed

SO they are going to close down Anglo Irish Bank. A good idea I suppose – even if a little late in the day. But they should keep the nameplate over the door in memory of the crime committed against the Irish people.

They should put the name of the Government beside it as an accomplice. Maybe even statues of Bertie Ahern and Brian Cowen flanking Sean Fitz- Patrick to remind our children what might happen if they are ever governed in the future by incompetents and their pals both inside and outside the public service.
