•From Wall Street to Rome, from the London stock exchange to Dame Street, the occupy movement has camps of dissatisfied people springing up almost overnight, demanding social justice for the 99pc who are being burdened by the greed of the 1pc. I agree with the protesters but I cannot find comfort with their timing.

The latest occupy movement has emerged in my own home town. The Occupy South Mall protesters have set up approximately 15 tents, marking Cork as the latest city to host this non-political movement.

I was asked would I be joining the protesters as I am an unemployed graduate but I chose to buck the current rebellious trend and here is my reason, which should be read by anybody intending to join the protesters.
