A ban on alcohol would spark riots

What would it take to make us Irish angry? The late German writer Heinrich Boll, who for a time lived on Inis Aran, and who wrote a book called 'An Irish Journal', once commented that the Irish are the world's sorriest people, because they are always saying sorry to each other. He could have added the words 'gullible' and 'fools'.
What other people would put up with the likes of Fianna Fail and the mess they've created in this country with young folk flocking abroad once again in their tens of thousands?
We have a Catholic Church using the name of Jesus Christ but which is, in actuality, rotten to its core.
