€120 fine for disabled OAP

Sir -- I am writing in relation to Owen P Keegan's letter (Sunday Independent, August 14).
How wrong and deluded can he be? My experience would differ from his account.
I, together with my wife, are surviving on a Retirement Pension. We had to travel to Dun Laoghaire to visit our solicitor. My wife was registered disabled, and on arrival in Dun Laoghaire we were able to find a disabled parking spot some three doors from the premises we had to visit. First impressions of the town were very good. That, however, soon changed.
