We must all feel fruits of recovery
Enda Kenny and Joan Burton are today confronted by a startling political paradox. The Taoiseach and Tanaiste are leading a country which has the joint-highest rate of economic growth in Europe.
The other key economic indicators have been moving steadily in the desired directions: unemployment is falling and the tax take improving dramatically.
Indeed, a blizzard of figures from our own national statistical number crunchers and beyond tells us that our recovery began sooner than was first thought and has deepened across the country.
