Unions' demands must be grounded in reality

Marriage has been caustically described as a protracted period of mutual confrontation until death.

The description could just as easily characterise the state of relations between the Government and the country's unions.

Yesterday it was the turn of Siptu president Jack O'Connor to throw down the gauntlet.
