THERE was a moment on Vincent Browne's TV3 show during the week when sympathy and compassion made rare, but brief, guest appearances.
Both the host and Irish Independent columnist Martina Devlin pored over the newspaper reports of former Anglo Irish Bank chairman Sean FitzPatrick's visit to the High Court, where he was declared bankrupt, and tut-tutted disapprovingly at headlines which suggested that the smiling former banker had laughed all the way to court.
How could anyone assume they could know what was going on in his head, they asked.
