St Patrick's Day is a time to be proud of all that we've achieved

TOO many of us have had those economic recession blues for too long. But some things just cannot be taken from us no matter what the big bad world may throw at us. And tomorrow, St Patrick's Day, is one of those precious things.

It is a day for us to wear the shamrock, a day to be proud of our origins and culture. It is a day for us to be confident about ourselves and optimistic about our future. It is, quite simply, our day.

St Patrick's Day is a day to think of our exiled family and friends, some gone from these shores many years, others departed more recently. It is a good time to drop a friendly word of greeting.
