Libya must have peaceful future
The death of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi yesterday finally brings an end to the 42-year agony suffered by that country's unfortunate people.
While the capture of the country's capital Tripoli two months ago marked the effective end of Gaddafi's regime, the Libyan people could not rest easy until the tyrant was finally run to ground.
Gaddafi won't be missed. Over the past 42 years he squandered Libya's huge oil wealth to fund some of the Middle East's most fanatical terrorists.
