Job creation must be central to recovery plan
IT was not just shock on the faces of workers at the Talk Talk call centre in Waterford who had just been told their jobs were gone: it was fear.
One can understand that, and it marks a tragic difference from similar scenes even a few years ago.
There are always job losses, and always worry for those who lose their employment, but in more normal times there is also hope that it will be possible to find something else before too long. In these dismal times, hope like that is very hard to hold.
