Ireland needs to be on song

After the rugby team's crushing World Cup defeat against Wales at the weekend, our soccer players, who take on Armenia this evening, represent Ireland's last chance of progressing in a major international competition.

Under manager Giovanni Trapattoni, the Boys in Green have managed a low-key but successful campaign, with just a point from the Armenian game now required to secure a play-off place in the European Championships.

Well, it was low-key until captain Robbie Keane, who is ruled out of this evening's game by injury, was filmed practising his singing skills at a north Dublin karaoke bar.
