NELSON Mandela's death has saddened people all across the world.

But he has also left a truly inspirational legacy from a life dedicated to fighting oppression, striving for justice and also seeking to build a peaceful co-existence for people of all races and creeds.

The life of Madiba, as his beloved people called him, is a story replete with courage, persistence, fortitude, triumph, and above all, forgiveness and political wisdom.
