Drivers putting lives at risk

IN overall terms the amounts are small, but the principles are exactly the same: It is quite clear there are people driving in the current poor conditions who are not fit to do so. Despite appeals from the gardai and safety organisations a dangerous minority continue to put lives at risk.
We are, as a country, only getting a small taste of what really bad weather can be like. By all accounts we need to get used to it as we are likely to have to endure more and more of its ilk.
It is obvious we all need to improve our driving. Last January and during this, and the earlier, cold spell of this winter, it has become patently obvious to anyone on the road that there are gaps in our abilities to deal with anything more than a minor frost.
