Don't moan about poor value - do something

BACK when the phoney economic boom was at its height, the then-Tanaiste Mary Harney was publicly lambasted for saying that people should "shop around" for goods and services when they felt – quite rightly in many cases – that they were being grossly overcharged.

How many of us actually do it?

And, if we do come across better value, do we take the trouble to chase it?
