Credit to Ugandan staff for finding fraud

The whole world knows about Joseph Kony and the terrible atrocities committed by his child soldiers in Uganda. Thanks to the power of YouTube, there are teenagers who are better briefed about it than their parents.

But while Kony has been driven out, the great vice of corruption which is holding back so many African countries is alive and well.

It is alarming to hear that €4m of Irish taxpayers' money has gone missing in Uganda. Worse still, it has vanished into a bank account set up by officials from one of the highest offices in the land -- the Ugandan prime minister.
