Cheese is least of our health worries
It does seem strange. A country whose main agricultural product is milk is considering banning TV advertising of cheese at times when children might be watching.
It is also strange because those same advertisements tell us how good cheese is for us. So it is, but it can be fattening. Therein lies the problem for the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) as it struggles to do its bit to combat the growing threat of obesity.
The BAI is treading carefully, as well it might.
