Cameron on shaky ground in scandal

BRITISH politicians, like politicians everywhere else, can take breathtaking risks and withstand abusive attacks without losing their composure.
The one thing they cannot abide is ridicule, but some of them have come in for a lot of ridicule in the past week and will have to put up with worse in the near future.
Yesterday in the House of Commons, Labour MPs laughed when the minister responsible for culture and media, Jeremy Hunt, announced his intention to refer to the Competition Commission the bid by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp for the proportion of BSkyB which it does not already own.
