Awesome force of nature borne with calm and quiet fortitude
WE may have split the atom and put a man on the man on the moon but nothing can bring us back to earth like the awesome force of nature.
Yesterday the world watched in trepidation as a tower of water almost a mile wide moved faster than a jet and claimed more than a thousand lives. In the flick of an eye we saw a train disappear, a ship with more than 120 people vanish, and fires threaten two nuclear plants.
Is there a nation other than Japan capable of confronting such monumental catastrophe without flinching?
