Two people who might otherwise be in jail were set free yesterday.
One, a woman convicted of false imprisonment, had been due to have the suspended portion of her sentence activated after being caught attempting to steal money from a church poor box.
The other, a homeless man who mugged a jogger, was to have a suspended sentence activated after stealing from a shop and committing assault.
