Power-addicted Enda has no intention of pulling the plug

Power, as Alan Kelly said, is a drug and, as with all drugs, abusers will engage in the most depraved acts to satisfy their addiction.

Power addicts, like all junkies, will go to all sorts of desperate lengths to source the money for the next hit and will hand over cash to people they would otherwise run a mile from.

In Leinster House, the junkies don't roam around in tracksuits shaking empty McDonald's cups at those who pass. Rather, they are kitted out in ill-fitting suits with Windsor-knotted ties and shake hands with constituents bussed in to marvel at their TD in action.
