Not every woman who has a mastectomy as part of their breast cancer treatment opts for reconstruction, although it is increasingly the norm.

There is the alternative of a prosthesis - and it is vital this is properly fitted, to ensure women can regain a normal shape.

This next step, once mastectomy surgery has been carried out, is an essential part of a woman's sense of well-being and recovery.
