It has only been a few weeks and we're already getting used to the Trump presidency, used to it being wildly unpredictable, unfocused one day, frighteningly intense the next.

Companies are responding as best they can. In many cases that means sitting on their hands, at least for now.

News that US technology businesses that had been looking to set up here are delaying decision-making fits the pattern.
