This is the kind of joined-up thinking we need to develop high-density, high-quality living spaces in our built-up areas.
The designation of Poolbeg as a strategic development zone (SDZ) is a positive step for the capital, but it's also a model that can be followed in our other cities.
Dublin, like all urban areas, has a lot of vacant land that could be developed. Housing, Planning and Local Government Minister Simon Coveney said the SDZ designation should be considered for the Docklands in Cork, and in Galway, Limerick and Cork too.
