Government plan lost in a 'wishy-washy' list

To say that the Government likes to make big splashy announcements is a bit like saying the Pope likes to be Catholic.

Politicians love to be able to "win the news cycle" and then hope the voters believe all the big announcements actually mean something once elections roll around.

Construction 2020 was one of those big splashy announcements. The Government made a big deal about how this plan would help turn around the construction industry when it was launched in May last year. The plan contains numerous "action points" along with the "responsible body" and timeline for each action point to be implemented.
