Could Brexit Britain be on the verge of another political upset?

Theresa May might still top the polls in this week's election - but she's made it harder than it needed to be, writes Eilis O'Hanlon

In Ireland, it's impossible not to know when an election is under way. Lamp posts are smothered in posters; the roadsides are festooned with reminders of the coming poll.

In Britain right now, it's hard to tell that there's an election in four days' time at all. There are a few placards in private gardens, the occasional leaflet dropping through doors, but that's about it.

Nor is this because signposting is illegal. It isn't.
