What if we're all talking about the wrong race?
Attention is focused right now on Donald Trump's seemingly inexorable rise to the Republican nomination. He even has a theme tune: three kids singing "USA!" to the tune of 'Over There' - an ironic pick for someone who doesn't want people coming "over here".
But presidential nominations are not won purely on national polls. They're a series of pitched battles in individual states over a number of dates. Losing one makes it more likely that you'll lose more. And Donald Trump is currently in trouble in the first-in-the-nation caucus of Iowa.
