All this talk about Brexit and exports but the real pain could be for the consumer

While all eyes this week were focused mainly on Budget 2017, another Brexit drama was unfolding in our supermarket aisles.
Consumer goods giant Unilever wanted to hike the prices of its goods on the shelves of Irish supermarkets by up to 19pc.
This was in order to cover its losses following a slump in the value of sterling as a result of Brexit.
