Just to give the night its balance, Donncha O'Callaghan materialises in the 'mixed zone'.
We like to see him here for the same reason people warm to the quaint sound of candour in political life. It's like a protesting hand reaching out from behind a firewall of banalities. Donncha doesn't pre-script sentences, you see. His words fly up in angry jets from somewhere inside the rib-cage.
So it is a first international rugby post-mortem in the Aviva Stadium and O'Callaghan isn't inclined to paint smiley faces at the bottom of the charge sheet.
