Manna from heaven. Recent rumours that the Government had seen the folly of pursuing the probe – at this time – were scotched. Despite warnings of the dangers, last Wednesday Enda Kenny stubbornly gave the banking inquiry his blessing.
A possible escape route has been opened for any culprits in the banking scandal. No less a person than the Taoiseach has created a vehicle that could carry them to freedom.
