Shane Coleman: Kenny got his Seanad poll – now it's Labour's turn
SO now finally we know where Enda Kenny stands on gay marriage. The language used by the Taoiseach last night may (unsurprisingly) have lacked the campaigning zeal of Eamon Gilmore on the same issue. But it was a pretty clear-cut endorsement all the same.
He supported "very strongly" the recommendation of the Constitutional Convention, and his government would be campaigning for it "when it comes".
His advocacy only amounted to 12 words – a tiny fraction of a speech that dealt mainly with small business and the economy.
