John Drennan: Mahon inquiry told to 'get skates on' with its report

THE Mahon tribunal has been told to "get its skates on'' and issue its final report before the end of the year.
The tribunal, which has been sitting for a similar period of time to the Moriarty inquiry, has intimated that, subject to legal proceedings, a report will be issued towards the end of this year.
However, the new Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan has told the Sunday Independent that one of his first ministerial acts was to contact the Mahon tribunal and request that its report "be finalised as quickly as possible, preferably before the summer recess".
