John Drennan: Dail Sketch
Opposition tries to bleed Cowen with Fingleton's fiasco
We have seen few more poignant sights than the troubled visage the humble FF career backbench deppity Bobby Aylward presented to the world last week. Others might have been delighted by the prospect of spending the day in the fragrant company of Emily O'Reilly.
Sadly, as poor Bobby attempted to calm the stormy rows over the decision of the Government to reject the Ombudsman's recommendations on Frank Fahey's 'Lost at Sea' scheme, his face was a perfect study in misery.
You could hardly blame poor Bobby, for our man's likes consist of FF, greyhounds, bacon and cabbage, getting grants for farmers and Kilkenny winning the All-Ireland.
