John Drennan: Bruton poised to axe four quangos in war on waste

Four top quangos are poised to face the chop in September as Enterprise Minister Richard Bruton accelerates his war on government waste.
The quangos involved include the controversial National Employment Rights Agency (Nera) and the deeply unpopular Equality Authority.
Earlier in the year, Mr Bruton signalled his intent to merge four employment quangos under the umbrella of the Labour Relations Commission.
