John Drennan: A little done, lots more to do: the verdict on the Cabinet's performance
There's only one 'A student' among the top ministers, but there are some solid performances for the rest, reports John Drennan
It is somewhat typical of this Government that no one is sure when precisely the famous first hundred days ends. Sadly, when it comes to a still slightly amorphous administration, there are plenty of other things we are still unclear about, for whilst the Government is still enjoying an extended honeymoon, the Earth hasn't exactly moved for us just yet.
In fairness, it was always excessively optimistic to suggest a state poisoned by decades of FF maladministration would be woken from its deathlike coma within months. Our new administration did, however, ask to be measured on its achievements after 100 days, whilst Mr Kenny is also apparently compiling summer report cards of the Coalition of all the Grumpy Old Men.
Happily our busy Taoiseach can drop that particular task for we have compiled our own report.
