Bertie Ahern, with one of his best malapropisms, would have said: "Hindsight is 50:50 vision."

And hindsight is now the number one enemy in the cross hairs of Brian Cowen's metaphoric rifle sight. Here is a quick summary in paraphrase of what the former finance minister and taoiseach had to offer yesterday:
