Love/Hate's Nidge

So, Love/Hate came and went in a febrile flurry of tears, recriminations and rancour. And that's just the viewer reaction.

Forget about the comparisons to the mystifying finale to The Sopranos, people reacted to the last episode with all the wounded indignation of those American hicks who wanted too see Orson Welles's head on a stick after he pranked them with War Of The Worlds.

No doubt RTÉ is laughing its ass off at the response the show has received, because people only react in such a ridiculous fashion when they have emotionally invested in a programme.
