Hypocrisy of the prudish, new Victorians hangs over Sex Bill

Earlier this month the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Bill was passed in the Dáil.

It is now one step away from full legislative enactment and it has been interesting to note that the Bill was greeted with anger and dismay by many concerned groups.

Inclusion Ireland felt it was too vague on the issue of consent for people with mental impairment, others were concerned that the word 'child' seemed to have several different meanings throughout the Bill.
