Party's on! Guess who's playing Cinderella?

Profits are up, lavish pensions are back, rents are soaring, but pay rises are apparently unsustainable, writes Gene Kerrigan

And what is our word for today? Our word for today is . . . "sustainable". Everything we do has got to be "sustainable".

It's a great word - it suggests something with firm foundations.

Michael Noonan and Paschal Donohoe have for months been telling the nurses and the guards and the bus drivers that they mustn't make wage demands that are - what's the word, Paschal?
